dude i even found an older thread on this site that you clearly stated those tweets arent that impressive!

Because a $1700 speaker has so much relevance here.
Comparing apples to apples CDT's lower line compared to Morels lower line Id pick neither. You can get better for your money. Even my higher end Morel made Xtant 28mm's arent that impressive.

then over on diyma u said they were harsh!

I just swapped some Eclipse SC6500 tweeters for my Morel made Xtant 28mm tweeters. They are on axis with the mids running passive off of my CDA-9887.
The Xtants seem to be much more harsh than the SC6500's on the same passive crossover. Both sets were at 0db on the passive.

Any ideas besides running active? Perhaps thats just the way they play.

Anyone have any idea when they were discontinued?
Also anyone have any clue to tell if they are fake? I know there were some going around on eBay that were knock offs. Just wondering so I can verify. I doubt they are fake as they are pretty heavy for some tweeters and are built solidly.
