well my friend wants me to pick out a system for him. he is going to have about 6 grand, my guess is he will allow me to spend the majority on it. vehicle is undecided as he is purchasing one come december/january. and he wants a system immediatly. i will try to convince him to get an suv like a blazer. with say 4 18" XXX's 2000watts each, XXX comps when they come out, alpine DVD player, PS2 and of course upgraded electrical system. etc....if you had this kind of money to spend, what would you buy for the entire system

I would get 2 15" XXX's..... a shit load of dynamat, tons of it. 4 Viper 1200.1's. Speakers....Koda 8's for midbass, or the 6's. CDT Silks. Orion 4004 amp. PS2 sounds great, flip down LCD's. Eclipse AVX2494 in dash touch screen.

If you could tell us what kind of car it will be, or at least what type (SUV, Car, van, etc.) that would help out. If he gets an SUV, consider mounting some LCD screens in the headrests and hookup the PS2 under the seat. You dont need 4 18" subs, thats overkill. Two XXX's would be plenty and then go with the other components that nora mentioned. Other than that, theres a lot of gimmicky stuff he can blow money on...

I understand what you mean, but the extra bass you gain by adding 2 more 18's isnt enough for the money. The wow factor would definately be cool though. Make sure you mount them with a big enough box to take advantage of the sound....make it ported NOT sealed.

Go with 30 RE8s with like 5000w to all of them. That would be more "Wow" than 4 18s.

Depends where tweets and midrange will be mounted, as well as his tastes/ music.
