my tacoma has 6x9 components up front instead of the usual 6.5 components. needless to say i bought herts hsk 6.5xl without knowing this. i do have hertz 6.5 hcx coaxial for the rear doors.. i am running a herts 4 channel amp and a bit 10 processor as well. so my my question is since i do not have a sub will the 6.5 components be enough bass, or should i find a component set of 6x9's (difficult).

how much more bass do you get with 6.5 vs 6x9??

is it enough to worry about. I'm going for the factory look.

if it is ok i will buy the adaptors for the use of the 6.5's

You could get a set of door spacers / adapters or get someone to make them fit in your doors and then deaden them properly to add a good solid midbass to them. For some people, that is enough for them if the install is right.

i plan to but the pre-made door adaptors for the tacoma 6x9 to 6.5. but how much of a difference will there be if i kept 6.5 vs buying 6x9?
I don't know exactly, but I am sure it's not that big of a difference to deal with. As long as the door is treated right.
