Although I don't have the money yet, I'm saving up for the system that I will be putting into my SHO. So far, I have decided on a deck and an amp. The deck I chose is a Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X590. From what I hear it is a good quality unit, and has everything I need. The amp I decided on, will be the JL Audio 300/4, of the "Slash" series. It looks to be a very good amp, with a lot of adjustability, which I like. It does 75x4 watts RMS @ 1.5 ohms-4 ohms. I will bridge the rear channels for a sub later on.

Now, I am going to chose a set of components, of the 6.5" sort. With the 75 watts RMS, what kind of power ratings should I be looking at in my comps? I know that I want a soft dome tweeter, so the highs won't be too harsh. It would also be nice if the comps could also hit the lows with some decent authority. I will be properly sealing my doors and will also be deadening them nicely. If I am satisfied by the bass response on these, I would be happy without a subwoofer. However, I will most likely end up getting a subwoofer or two down the road. I am looking to spend no more than $250 on the components. I won't be buying them for a while, so please don't offer yours if you're selling them.

Hopefully you guys can stear me in the right direction. So, here's the bottom line:

- Sound good with a clean 75watts RMS

- Packs a good low end punch

- Good, clean, clear sound quality

- Below $250 shipped.

What components should I be looking at?

Thanks guys

Awesome. Have you ahd your Rainbows hooked up to your 300/4 yet? How much can I get a pair of the slc 265's for, including shipping?
