6 20.1's OR 3 40.1's??

So next years build brings big dreams. I'll give you a quick rundown.

6 12" Death Penalties. D2 voicecoils

200 feet of 1/0 gauge knu

4 powermasters

2 300 amp alternators

All in a blowthrough ranger with a camper shell. So now my decision is this...do I run 3 40.1's at .5 ohm? Or do I run 6 20.1's at 1 ohm? I really don't know what to do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

40.1, especially if you're wanting to go with a 16V setup sometime.

I'd saý do the 40.1 if ur comfortable running the amps at .5 ohms, and if they could handle it.

I think they could take it with the right electrical, I just hope mine will be enough

Well, there's I'm not sure of any amp that puts out quite the same output as a 40.1.

But x2.

Find another amp? Stop being a fanboi.

Are you a driver at UPS or something? Because I know for a fact the warehouse people don't bring home enough cheese for that setup.

With 3 40.1's you would probably need more like 10-12 reserve batts to keep voltage stable.

Think of the current draw.Say the 20 pulls 300a and the 40 pulls 500a.You would be pulling 1800a with 6 20's and only 1500 with the 3 40's.(numbers are hypothetical but theroy is the same.)

Yeah with the 40's I would think about 4 batts per amp.
