5th gen Accord rattle problems?

Hey. I have a 96 accord...it rattles like a *****. I bought some fatmat 3mil thick and coverd the gas tank ( entire bottom of the trunk) For those of you that know anything about the accords trunk lid..there is 2 pieces that are sandwhich together...near the license plate...well i put some fatmat in there to. I also cut out little "circle" shapes to fit the spots on the undersaide of my trunk lid. After doing all that..the mother ****er still rattles real bad on the outside..

The inside sounds better though, and i know i did it right. I made sure it was VERY clean..and i rolled it on well, no air pockets ect... The system i had was around 145 dbs. At full volume the rattle would hit harder then the subs.

I have an idea or 2 on what it could be.

1) where the trunk lid meets the trunk lock.

2) the parts in the actual trunk lid are rattling (doubt it)

I know someone has to have an accord on this forum...What worked for you? have any pictures? Any help would be appreciated...i have tried **** near everything. thanks...

if its where the lid meets the latch try wrapping some electrical tape around the little square hook that the latch latches to
