53 F100 Restoration

i hear ya...stock?
bigger valves and I swear its a bit more of a cam in it. maybe just a smidge more lift on it. i ****in love how it sounds. I will get a better video tomorrow morning. all I have on it is straight pipes, no crossover, and 2 thrash cherry bomb mufflers, not the long red ones. the actual "mufflers"

Cabs lifted to relocate the stock bushings...

Got all the cab sheetmetal done today. Still need to weld the firewall in but its sitting in the correct place in the pic. Floorboard is next. Firewall is a aftermarket smooth one so it doesnt look all crappy and has more room in the engine bay.

looks great! Keep up the good work. I would have stuck with the 460 V8, if your going to put that much work into a vehicle you can never have enough power. Can definitely understand gas mileage though

subscribed! nice choice with the 302. always been a fan of older pickups and always been a ford guy. working on cleaning up the engine bay of my 85 mustang right now, smoothing all the bs holes in the inner fender/fire. as far as the two paint pictures, i like the two tone one. maybe a black/silver? its far from original but i think it would look good. what are you planning to do to finish the bed off?

since the truck is going on the crown vic frame the rear suspension and frame mounts are higher so a good 3/4 of the bed will have to be channeled higher then we will leave ennough room to throw in a couple chairs and a cooler or something for the shows. Not sure if the bed is going to be wood or diamond plate or what yet though.

i'll see if i can find the mag layin around somewhere. a bunch of guys at my church restored a ?59? f100 and it made the cover of classic trucks magazine, all yellow, it was the SECKS! you might have it
