Just picked this up yesterday....Gonna take our time and restore it right.

Cab has been most the way finished allready...were doing away with the gas tank and filling the hole in to put a gas tank between the frame rails in or under the bed.

specs are:

53 F100

429 block been rebuilt...needs head work then put back together, has aftermarket cam---estimated 350 horsepower

c6 *****

9" ford rearend

ltd front clip and suspension

ltd dirveshaft= needs cut down to fit

Professional redone cab

Painted frame- going to get repainted again

some old drag slicks and racing rims on the rear right now

going to get:

4 wheel power disc brakes

power windows with 1 piece window kit

bed with fiberglass fat fenders for wide tires

and alottttt more

Heres some pics for now. Gonna take the front clip off and cab off so we can get the engine together and running and redo everything seperate 1 at a time.

update: just bought another 53 for a parts truck. This 1 doesnt have a title either so were using the vin off the other to get a title. Bringin it home friday. Not in near as good in conditon as this 1 because its been sittin in the same spot for 15 years+ lol...

not a ford fan at all and never have been but these are my fav of the fords... I'm sure if the last one came out nice this one will too... they can be some of the cooler resto/mod vehicles out there...

here is what I was talking about. This is a correct 53 ford grille.

Im not sure on what models it comes on, because ours is a f-250...

so maybe a f-100 got that grille

oh, and that copper color on that '56 is sexy stuff!!!!

thats the right 53 grille, the f100 isnt the same as the 250. Were thinking about painting this 1 either canary yellow with blue pinstriping or some scheme of panthers colors- blue and white with silver and black pinstriping. The yellow looks good but there is alot that color and we kinda want something original. Its going to be a while before its done because we are doing it 100%. The frames is even being sanded down and bondo'd where the pits from being made are so its as smooth as glass. Ill post pics as we go. Will prolly start on it this weekend when i get a day off.

We decided to sell the 429 (bored to 460) and get a 302 that was bored to a 305. Has been completely rebuilt, just need to slap a carb on it. About the same estimated 300-350 hp. Bought a bunch of tools and am in the process of reorganizing the garage so ill have build pics in a couple weeks if that. Heres some pics of the motor.
