53 F100 Restoration

That's going to be nice when you're through. Why the decision to go from a big block to a small block?
gas mileage //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif and 302's are lightweight

Got it in the garage today and took the cab off. Prolly take the engine and ***** out in a little bit. Made a big parts list of everything to get to make it a rolling (ready-to-go) chassis. So were finally getting started //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Pulled the engine after work today..pics of the frame and engine/*****...then we bought a crown vic to use for some of the parts. Has a 302 and were using the front end for the front of the other 53.

we decided to use the car frame under the truck. Cheaper parts from factory if something breaks and will ride smooth like a car instead of all bumpy....lowered the body down some on it to. Only thing is were going to tunnel the bed to where it fits over the shock mounts.

heres some pics so far.

looks pretty sweet. I think I woulda stuck with the big block and found a top-loader 4 speed to go behind it but thats me lol. Can't wait to see how the rest of it is going to turn out. It definitly sits right down low on the car frame.
