500 Watts Enough for IDMAX?

Does anyone have a 10 or 12 IDMAX with about 500 watts running to it? How does it sound?

I have a 500 watt amp and was thinking about getting an IDMAX but was worried that 500 watts would not be enough power. The ID website said 1000 RMS, but that it would not necessarily need that much power to sound good.

It will sound perfectly fine with that much power, and still get loud enough for most people's tastes. If you want more output, do the cheap things first (as in box design) before going and buying a new amplifier.

Yea I run my 10s with 1500watts RMS but I'm too afraid to crank it up, besides break in and not yet tuned. A friend of mine who is sponsored by IDMAX said that its got HIGH SENSITIVITY and can still sound good at low RMS.
