$500 + honda = loud?

i got a friend. He has $500 to spend on a system and ive been playin with idea's. Im figuring using 1 sub so i can have a large variety of options for a box. i figure either 1 12" or 1 15" sub. the box ill be building. so thats not anything to worry about right now.

Im interested to hear peoples idea's.

Basicly budget is $500 for wire, sub, amp, box. system is pure SPL..he just wants it to be loud (he has never had a system before and would think about anything is loud)

But heres what im thinkin

FI SSD 12/15"

with all this its $417 un-shipped with a 12" ssd. but he said he might be able to put some more into the system. if he is willing we may go to a 15/18" SSD..

So what is everyones thoughts? its going in a Honda Civic hatchback (i think he said its a DX)..

mids/highs/headunit are stock.

Im sure theyd overpower them. ill advise him before we do anything. See what he wants to do about it

My civic is not a hatch back so the biggest I can fit in the trunk is a 15" without building some crazy non-square box. I would say definitely save the extra money to get a 15 it makes a pretty big difference.

that would be nuts. As for budget subs, you could also look at some Mach5 audio. A Mj18-M in a sealed box with a 2ch. amp that does 700bridged at 4ohm would def. slam and still be cheap as hell.

uh no..im not doing the same system AGAIN...i put a zx200.2 + kicker comp in my moms expedition...and a zx200.2 + kicker comp in my sisters honda and i installed a zx250.2 and 2 kicker comps in a taurus..

NO MORE KICKER!!! lol time to try some new stuff
