Hmmm.... yea I see. Kinda. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif So basically Im gonna be using 4 wires from the amp to subs... I get that. BUT how do I wire each sub correctly?EDIT #2: nevermind i found the page, its monoblock, which means both positive terminals are connected inside of the amplifier...so you can use one or the other or both, because they all come together eventually anyways...you can run one sub off of each positive terminal if ya want, then just wire the two positive terminals on the subwoofer together and you will be set....do the same with the neg terminals

I can do that?! NOW that makes all the sense!!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ARE u sure its a 1ohm load... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifok I am not sure if this will answer your question, but this schematic shows ONE way of wiring this up point to point so you can follow it....as u can see, the amp has two positive terminals and two negative terminals...since this is a mono amp (one channel) then these terminals are connected somehow....they could be replaced by a single set of terminals, but having two sets of terminals can make wiring up multiple subs (or multiple voice coils) easier....now the important thing to remember is that in order to get a 4 ohm load then ALL positive terminals must be wired together somehow...that is, each positive terminal on the subwoofer should be touching either one of the amps positive terminals OR another subwoofer terminal which is ALSO wired to the amp.....as long as you acheive this, the signal will flow thru and you will be fine....the example i showed you shows each positive terminal from the amp wired directly to ONE positive terminal on ONE of the voice coils of the subwoofer....in order for the signal to reach the positive terminal on the other voice coil, a jumper must be used, which is the wire you can see that is connecting both of the positive terminals on each subwoofer....
SO basically you can do this...wire together the two positive terminals on one sub together, then do the same thing to the negative terminals, then do the same thing to the other subwoofer....now all you need to do is connect the pos and neg terminals from each terminal on the amp to one of the pairs of pos and neg terminals on the subwoofer....i am trying really hard to make sense with my words but it is something i have never been any good at, so let me know if i need to elaborate further and i will attempt a different approach
lol...im glad i finally worded it correctly...
after double checking the schematic i say yes, thats a one ohm load, but wait till somebody else posts and confirms, i am not exactly new to this, but i have made mistakes before, so it would behoove you to get a 2nd opinion //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif good luck with your project and make sure u post more pics when you complete it
Allriught then... and dang... it did get long.i think the problem may be that your thread has gotten so long that nobody is reading this far into it anymore....any of the guys you have been talking to previously in this thread can take one look @ the schematic and say yes or no....my suggestion to you is, if nobody replies after another day or two, send a private message to any of the ppl who helped you earlier and i am sure they would be happy to give it a look see //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif good luck
actually, yes your schematic is dead on for a 2 channel amp, or a mono amp with 2 sets of positive and negative. wiring it any other way would be like using smaller power wire...restrictive, its how i have my setup wired, but don't do the extreme like i did, and use 8 awg power wire for the speaker wire for a 700 watt rms setup...LOLi think the problem may be that your thread has gotten so long that nobody is reading this far into it anymore....any of the guys you have been talking to previously in this thread can take one look @ the schematic and say yes or no....my suggestion to you is, if nobody replies after another day or two, send a private message to any of the ppl who helped you earlier and i am sure they would be happy to give it a look see //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif good luck
COOL. SO I will wire it like that then? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif For two dual voice coil subs?actually, yes your schematic is dead on for a 2 channel amp, or a mono amp with 2 sets of positive and negative. wiring it any other way would be like using smaller power wire...restrictive, its how i have my setup wired, but don't do the extreme like i did, and use 8 awg power wire for the speaker wire for a 700 watt rms setup...LOL
um...yea? thats what i just said, best way to wire them right there.COOL. SO I will wire it like that then? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif For two dual voice coil subs?
and thats why i'm on these forums //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.giflol....thanks for dropping in draarong...i figured that doing it the other way (just using one set of terminals on the amp) would in fact be restrictive...i just couldnt figure out how to say it right....then, you did....restrictive...brilliant //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
