.5 stable amps?

yeah i tried searching but you can't search anything under 3 characters so .5 doesn't search.

i'm looking for a 2500-3000 watt amp at .5ohms. I know the RD D5 is .5 stable but are there any other ones that are .5 stable? They've got to be out there somewhere!

I think MMATS makes one. Supposedly the Brazilian stuff (Stetsom/Soundigital) will hold up if you have adequate electrical.

dang that looks like a nice amp for 550 bucks man. but do you think itd make a little too much power for an 18" HDC3-A in a smaller enclosure (5.5cuft)? I want to run daily no problems. I heard they can handle 3k but that thing makes 4k @13.8 at .5ohms.

Soundstream DTR1.3400D is .25 ohm stable, is factory rated @ .5 ohms same go's for Tx1.2600D and RUB1.2500

All have 1/0 power and ground inputs and I know for a fact the DTR does its .25 ohm on crappy electrical systems. I used to let mine see 10 volts daily before I got a new ride and never had it wired as high as .5 cuz I used it at .25 daily. It's rated to handle as low as 8.5 volts

i ran an aq 2200d @.5 daily for over a year. no issues at all i had stock alt and a extra batt. have to rememeber that even if its wired to .5 your gonna gain a little on impedance box rise so you should be fine.

oh man thats good to know. yeah I knew about box rise i was just worried about it going into protect even with box rise. what kind of wattage you think it could push at say 13.5v at .5?? like 2800?

around there i would guess 2500ish maybe 2800 @ 14.4. i never clamped mine was a real nice amp never went into protect ever.

cool man I think thats my plan then. cause those you can pick up pretty **** cheap and then I can put more money into getting good electrical. awesome info bro thanks.

Why would it have to be at .5ohms? Why not get an amp that does same power, cleaner and higher DF etc at 4 or even 2ohms?
