That is the difference between the charcoal tint and the semi-metallic tint. Semi-metallic is more reflective whereas charcoal is darker and absorbs more light. Another thing that made my windows look darker is that my Accord's interior was black on black. In theory semi-metallic is supposed to last longer than charcoal.I have the same thing on mine except it's 20% but in the direct sunlight it looks almost see through it blows.
On my Mustang, I had a tint shop install 15% over the existing legal tint job which was 50% front windows, 35% quarter windows, and 15% rear window. My Mustang doesn't offer the same privacy that my Accord did, even though technically it is darker than the Accord was. I still haven't done my windshield because I need to get my medical waiver approved and hurricane Gustav pushed my doctor's appointment back another month. I am starting to grow a hate for living on the Gulf Coast!
