Hey guys, I have a silver 2003 Mazda 6 as you guys may know. I'm taking it to get tinted tomorrow (finally) and am having trouble deciding which will look better, 5% or 15%.

I'm leaning towards the 15%, but I'm not sure..Seem's everybody goes with 5. Here's a pic of the car for reference.

Yeah, I was thinking the 15 at first. But it just seems so many people go with 5, I'm not sure if 5 would look better. I guess on a silver car 5 may look to dark though.

Polls are tied right now though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I may start a poll on when you will complain about your first tint ticket.
I won't complain. I know it's illegal and know **** well what I'm doing will be punished if I get pulled over. Really it's not that big of a deal to me though. My mom has 15% on her Audi and hasn't gotten pulled over once. 15% really isn't much darker then legal in FL, but 5% is quite.

Legal in FL is 18% in the back, 28 on the front. I called the laws a couple days ago to find out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

on that car the darker window tint will look sharper so i say 5 i have 5 on my back and 15 on the front it was like that when i bought it and i wish it had 5 on the front as well so i am going to get 5 done on the front soon

also get the back window tinted and the front windshield so peoples high beams dont bother u at night

I would go for 15% specially at the least for the front 2 windows. I got 30% on my truck and it looks decent but you can see in and see through it but down in sunny florida I am sure a darker shade is much necessary.

In mass its sad, 45% is whats legal up front, can't even tell if the windows are tinted until you roll em down and look for the edging of the tint.

I am doing the full front windshield in 50% and will be doing the rear windshield in whatever I do on the sides //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Thanks for all the votes / posts so far, it seems CA.com is split right down the middle on this one, haha.

yea in my truck i got 5% over on the two back doors and the rear back glass, and then 15% on the front and 30% on the whole windshield with a 5% strip

soon to have 5% on the front as well and might get another 5% on the rear back glass

Haha, that's too dark for me. My neighbor has 35% on his front windshield on his Escalade and I ***** when I have to ride somewhere with him at night cause I can't see out well at all.

15% on the sides and back, then a 15% bar on the front with the rest of the windshield tinted 40% thats the way to go...as dark as 5% but the visibility of 15%
May consider this, but idk how the different % strip would look on the windshield.
