My MTX 9500 was broken yes, was broken! I know it sound impossible, so my advice is get a support for the magnet. The frame broke off & cone rip off also.

I even took a video of voice coil in motion. It was power off sony amp, my old amp

so i took everthing apart & clean it

i brought L shape to connect ring & frame together & Glue call Gorilla

Pros: on Gorilla glue: Strong as Fu*k

Cons: Take long time to dry

I glue cone back to voice coil. Was working like i want it to.

As for frame i use L shape to connect frame together see pic Below.

I did, i contact MTX for new cone, they told me it's $420 for 4 set of cone, I was like?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif I told them i only need one. & they said sorry it come in 4, so i said fu*k it.

Then I build a new sealed box for it.

A 10 inch hole is for Boston GTR passive raditor. Which helps increased db.

I'll say it lasts until you wang it hard- the cone will seperate from the voice coil.
edit: you got pros and cons backwards: pros = good, cons = bad.

Well, gorilla glue is the sh!t! I hope it holds strong for ya. I'm surprised at MTX though. For that being their flagship driver, the construction was pretty shoddy.

i know, I was driving one day, I heard a loud drop in back of my car, like a bomb went off lol & the bass stop, but i hear loud distortion sound. As soon i pop my trunk, i was like hmm, nothing wrong with it. I push the cone, i knew something is wrong with it. Cuz i though it blew up. so i look back of my box which is see through. & i saw this magnet fall off. I was pisss off. but i learn the lesson hard way
