5 channel amplifier ?

Family member is looking for a 5 channel car amplifier that outputs around 75-100 watts at 2ohms for the 4 speakers he has and for the 5 channel (sub channel) he wants something that can output around 300-350 watts.

I know 5 channels are not super common so I was wondering if anyone on this board knew or has run a solid 5 channel for a daily setup.

He doesn't technically have a budget but I doubt he wants to spend an ungodly amount (at the same time he's not exactly tight on money and is willing to pay for something respectable).

We have an older version of that amp in a hot rod, it makes about 15-20% more power than it's rated for.

Hybrid U5A is probably the 5ch I'd get right now or maybe a nice zuki.

I have this very same amp...its huge for a 5 ch amp, compared to others.

Ryan also tested/benched my amp before I got it. Even he was pleased with the results.

I use the phoenix gold ti21600.5 right now.

does over 125 x 4 @ 4 and more than 200 x 4 @ 2 ohms, on the sub channel it does over 500 @ 4 ohms and over 800 @ 2 ohms

I run two NVX 900.5's and previously the Soundstream pn5.640.

The NVX are impressive in every way. The Soundstream did fine but I needed more sub power to be happy.

Both are smaller footprint. The Soundstream is TINY.

Soundstream tn5.950 or ppi p900.4 same amp and about $160 shipped. Small, do rated, and inexpensive.

If you want to up it a notch or two: Zapco ST-5X II

If you want to get a little pricey w/o spending an unGodly amount: Arc Audio XDi 850.5
