5-channel amp

i just email him about getting it on millionbuy.com and to see what the policy was. I will let you know he normally replies in a couple hrs. I would love for ED nine.5 to come back out. i would be all over it. I have been researching 5 channel amps for about 2 months. I used to own a kicker kx700.5 and it was a good amp and then I got a belle and I should of never sold it......

 
Im interested in the powerbass 5 channel also.

I had some powerbass stuff once before I liked it.

I know Neil Barber down here has the big powerbass amps running his stuff.

 
Yeah, i have been looking at both those amps. the 700.5 is in my price range, but i really want a belle.......its shiny........

the 1100.5 is the one to go with its sub channel is 500x1 at 2 ohms. its priced at 169.99 and shipping is less than 25.00 so that 100.00 under your 300 price. Hell you probably can find a sub and still stay under 300.00. I priced the 1100.5 powerbass amp and 3 10" rockford subs on that site and the werr 119 for all 3. They were the p1's but for less then 40.00 a driver I know they will get loud in a ported box off 500 watts.. Im going either 3 10's or 1 15 ported.

80A * 13.8V = 1104W

Factor in about a 40% loss minimum for the A/B topology and that's around 660W RMS between all 5 channels.

Claimed output is 4x150W + 500W RMS at 2 Ohms for a total of 1100W RMS. No way in hell.

Here's a refurb ZX700.5 for $220 shipped. HiFiSoundConnection is an authorized Kicker refurb/b-stock dealer, so the amps do have a real warranty.

Nope, it's not true on all amps. Many amps are CEA-2006 compliant, which ensures they'll make their rated power as advertised under real world continuous conditions.

There are a lot of amps that aren't compliant, so sifting through them all to find out which one's will and will not make rated power can be a bit of a challenge. Best thing to do is scour through the forums and review sites to find out and use your best judgment.

Help me out here az if you would:

Using 14.4V instead of 13.8V for my example yields an output of 1152W RMS. Take away 40% at best for the A/B classification, and that's 691W RMS at most.

Since the power potential at 4 Ohms is stated to be exactly half that at 2 Ohms, that would leave 346W RMS to be divvied up between all 5 channels.

The amp is rated at 4x75W + 250W at 4 Ohms for a total of 550W RMS.

My guess is that it's max would be around 4x45W + 165W RMS at 4 Ohms. Seem about right?

the 4 channel is 67% and the subwoofer channel is 71 % effcient.
