with a bigger box, the 5/8 wood can flex a little more, affecting the overall output of the sub. most ppl on here use 3/4 inch

no s**t shirlock i know it is 1/8th of an inch i just didn't know if the sound would be different or if it would be prone to break easier

use 3/4

it also makes mesure a tad easyer!

only use5/8s if you are very pressed for space (like single cab truck pressd for space). If not use 3/4.

3/4s. Especially if it's a bigger box. I have 2 L7s in a 6 cubic foot ported box and I still had to brace the crap out of it to keep it from flexing.
