5.25" Speakers

New member here. Lookin for some advice on what kind of speakers to get for my 99 Deville. They are 5.25 and dont really know if I should get a component set or not. Anybody have some recommendations? I really want to have nice clear highs. I have some terrible Kickers that i bought on impulse and didnt know anything about car audio. Thanks in advance.

i tell you waht , if you can get them used on ebay , i had a cheap set of JBL GTO components in my buick and they were loud as ****.

If you want comps I reccomend the boston acoustic sr50's I have them but I would definitely recommend the use of a sub with them because they cant really handle anything under 125hz at higher volumes. I have them amped up with a jl audio slash 150/2 and it sounds really good!

this. I have the boston sr series on my golf cart and anything above 125hz is crystal clear and as loud as ever! But not much for midbass in em at all.

Pioneer D-series sound good all the way down to 50hz.

Morel has been getting great reviews lately too.

The sr60 have pretty good midbass, I guess cause they are alittle bigger?

thanks for the replies guys but how much are these? i really want the best set i could get for maybe around $300 as my budget. some of these brands i have never heard of lol..morel? oh and yes i have 2 kenwood 12s in the trunk for the bass. i went into car toys the other day and was shown a set of focals that sounded pretty good. anybody dealed with focal?

You can get the Boston's on amazon for like 160. I have never dealt with focal but I hear good things.. One thing I really love about the Boston's is the tweet. It is really loud and clear as all hell! Also since you said you have a subwoofer already I think they would be perfect for you. Just set the lpf to 125 and you will be livin good!

thats exactly what i want..nice loud clear sound! i will definitely check them out and the morels, i appreciate your help. any other suggestions?
