4th Order Bandpass Preview/Suggestions Welcome (RD Alphamax 15)

Alright so Im doing a 4th order bandpass with 2 6" aero ports tuned to 45hz as per 80inches design. A few things changed cause of my trunk so thats why it looks so crazy. Keep in mind its a rough sketchup and I have figured out the ported cubes yet.

I had concerns about the port having turbulence issues since I would have to use 90* connectors, in order to solve this i extended the box so that the aeros could be straight.

Im thinking for the filler plates I would glue and screw and also fill with expanding foam, thoughts?

The new box will "hang" on that ledge

The aero ports will go into the old 6x9 speaker holes

If you have any concerns please point them out, I'm not perfect and this is my first 4th order so if I'm doing something wrong let me know before I start building. Lol

What amp are you going to use? I know it's gotta be bigger than that 1000D...

bandpasses can get loud as hell and ound good heres one i did a while back. should give u some ideas it was 6 12's tho.

Also Im looking at a stetsom 2k5, a sundown 3000d or 2000d, or an audioque 2200

Yeah I havent had rear speakers for awhile and its already cut for me plus it fits 6" pvc.... finally something is working out in this car (since the rear seats dont fold down).

it been an while back but it was over 150 on music had a bunch of mmats amps those pioneer took alot of power sealed. needless to say it hurt to sit in the car lol

90degree elbows will not effect it becuz the edges are already rounded so no air will be sitting there....if is was a regular slot port that has a 90 edge yea some pressure will be created there

This design more closely follows your original as in order to do the other I needed to use 3 6" aero's to get enough port length.

I would put the sub at the very bottom where your box is not firing up, using the whole top as a ported chamber with the ports going in between the gas tank hump and rear deck, then coming up through the deck.

He helped me almost a month ago or so, I heard he is really backlogged now... I guess 4th Orders are the next big thing or something???

With a calculator and my brain. I got the original design from 80 and so far have just adapted it to work for my particular vehicle
