4th Order Bandpass for 3 12in Type-R's by 80inches

Just got my designs for a 4th Order Bandpass last night for three 12in Type-R's.

The rear chamber is 4.3cubes before sub displacement. Not sure what the displacement is on the subs. The port is tuned to 56hz

I was kinda scared when I first got the plans because I thought the rear chamber would be to small for 3 type-R's at 4.3cubes, but 80inches says that this box will get pretty **** loud and hit the low notes pretty good so I'm pretty excited to start building it this weekend and to get some flex vids

Sounds like it's going to be a huge box.

4th order is where its at....until you want to try a 6th order, but I don't think I have the room.

Mitch, try it out.

I design a ton, and I was really impressed with a 4th order (80's) on an L7 with about 500 watts.........

its fairly small too.

6th has both the front and rear chambers ported

NOW i have a question about a sorta 4th order box

 

along timeago, my GF got some old RF subs in a 4th order box BUT the front of the sub shared a comon sealed chamber and the rear of the subs had there own ported chambers. whats up with that

Alright mp3pimp, I'll try it..I guess a it'll either be good, or just a waste of 25-30 bucks. Nothin to cry over. I'm not impressed at all with the current box. (which is too small and tuned @ 32hz.) I have about 900 watts or so to throw at it also.

Looks like a bandpass bandwagon has formed lately...
