sealed chambers are 4.95 ft^3 each with 2 subs shared space, vented chamber is 5.65 ft^3 tuned to 46 hz which should produce a nice band of ~25hz-80hz Port is 6.5" wide, 18" tall (117 in^2) 14" long kerfed on both ends with 3.5" radius

what ya think... and to my experts... will it work?

yeah, well i have no intentions of cutting up my truck at the moment, but it would be easy for me since i've already got the weather proof fiberglass lid for the bed.

a question more blow thru oriented... anything wrong with using say 2 huge (8" for instance) aero ports and especially in a 4th order... using an 8" circle jig and running JUST the ports thru the cab for a "blow thru" or would that just ****.

is to the left and right of the port 2 big areas of wasted space??
yeah... had nothing else to do with it, wanted to the port external n free flowing, and if i ever did it as a blow thru i would cut just enough for the center section of the port(8"x19.5") and not a huge 4' wide hole in the cab

you could do that.. just build the port and lose the empty space... yea it would look different, but it'd give you some room to mount some batts maybe?? possibly interchangeable ports with that design also... has the potential

box should work but you are defeating the main purpose of most 4th order builds /directed output ??

idk g/l with it

might work well in a 2 dr Tahoe/Yukon or a 2dr Bronco

what do you mean by directed output?

Let me clear it up, it was designed with blow thru in mind, i have no intentions of building it at the moment i've just never designed a 4th order, done bunched of vented and sealed boxes so i figured i'd give it a shot.

well after you nail down the dims of box and tunning lose the kerfs /yes look cool but not pratical for blow thru unless you will cut out all the way accross /second when you build it do not cover those "dead" spaces on sides of port leave open and build ampracks and batt storage and yes hit up 80 lol

ok the sketchup is awesome...but wats with the large kerfs...and alll the bracing...i know u have to brace but thats more than overkill...dont kerf that area cuz thats usable ported area being blocked...ur ported area looks to small as it is..dont kerf those ares..just clam shell the 15's and use the rest of the air space as ported area..and make the port as big as u can

I'd rather have too much bracing than not enough but i admit its overkill...

lose the kerfs i got that much but are you saying just run the full width of the vented area straight out?

also since your the resident 4th order person (or so i've read in many threads)

is there an issue with using aeros instead of a huge slot port

btw as is its 20in^2 / ft^3 on the port, i dunno is there a different set of recommended when doing a 4th order?

what do you mean by directed output?

so ??? this is what just a warm up for the real tread in what? 6 mo?

a year?lol iv'e heard of pre planning a project but d@mn all that modeling in sketchup for a pipe dream ?? lol w/e g/l with build* edit* with immaginary build.

is there an issue with having plenty of designs and ideas so when the time comes you can choose the best one? i'd rather "pre plan imaginary" installs than actually waste money buying and reselling like most.

I'd rather have too much bracing than not enough but i admit its overkill...understood....

lose the kerfs i got that much but are you saying just run the full width of the vented area straight out? u can keep the kerfs just dont make them that big...no dont have the full width striaght out kuz then it will be just a sealed box pushed all the way back..lol

also since your the resident 4th order person (or so i've read in many threads)

is there an issue with using aeros instead of a huge slot port

u can use aero's ..but u will need atleast 8 6inch aero ports

20in^2 / ft^3 on the port, wats this?...i hope thats not the port size
