Well yea, you wont be getting even close to full continuous power on music/daily...so in a way we are both right, it should be fine if you have 4kw of rms to play with it should take it no-sweat because it wouldnt be seeing a true 4kw almost ever unless you go full-tilt on sine waves on the daily..

The apxx had no strain whatsoever, but it was sold last year. I'm trading for an apx on here, 18 as well like my buddys old apxx, so i'll put it through some mean power tests. My buddy just got his Soundigital 8k, and that will be pretty close to 8k at 1 ohm. Its a D1 too, so might even be able to wire it at .5 and have after rise around 1.5. He also has a mean electrical now, dual alts and a large handful of Odysseys biggest batterys. If it was going to get overpowered, this would be how. In a few weeks, i'll make a post once i get a system together or even just a box to test it in Mikey's car. Should get at least 6-7k after rise though.

Stetsom 14k at .5 nominal box rise to 1.6 at 43hz. Yes they really can take it

perhaps you should shop for the best set of ear plugs if you think your system might see 4kw "daily"...oh yea and watch for those pesky little piglets around neighborhoods.
