alright, so my friends 97' Escort SE(4 door) went kaputz the other day. she took it to a mechanic, he said that the wiring harnesses are all melted together and he wouldn't touch it, she had to take it to the dealer. she took it to the dealer, they said that the wiring harness are all melted and a fuel injector went bad, which probably caused the wiring harnesses to melt. they said $4000 to fix it all. yeah well that's bullshit, so me and my friends are going to fix it for like an eighth of the price. so my dilema is where can i find a wiring harness(actually the dealer said that there's 3) and a new fuel injector? anybody have any hookups? or maybe a better suggestion than us fixing it?

Do an internet search for parts? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Maybe try some stores that might sell that sort of thing.... Junkyard, find the same car, same year, and grab the stuff you need off it if you can...

If you dont know about where to get one, meaning you dont know the cost...how are you so sure "me and my friends are going to fix it for like an eighth of the price"???

a new wiring harness for my car is about $500, i figured one for an escort would be just about the same, since i have a mustang. yeah, i'll search on ebay, maybe find some online junkyards or something. i was just hopeing that there was some easier way of finding one, maybe through some popular site like crutchfield, but then again i don't know why crutchfield would sell it anyways. oh well.
