ofc is better ,but more expensive .i run ofc in my truck only tho

depends on the wire company ,most is twice what cca is ,what i use is $2 per ft for ofc 4 gauge and $1 for cca 4 gauge .

CCA is alright as long as you aren't running 8ga wire to a 4,000 watt system. CCA will reach higher temperatures than OFC. And with heat comes some resistance..... I use 4 gauge CCA and I'm running 1,000 watts. Never had a problem.
