4ch amp on 1 sub NNED HELP FAST

WELL due to my shop not picking up clarion im in need of 8-900watt at 2ohms amp. my shop only caries US amps and Eclipse. due to Eclipse having a weak mono block amp im forced to use US, wich is fine, but they have weak 2ohm ratings on there monoblocks. im thinking of using a Xt1600.4. with Y adapters for the RCAs and bridged channles on each coil of my RE SE15 dual 4. what do you guys think

well they show in the instruction manual that is CAN be used at a big 2ch amp. infact they show its in LPF mode as well. you say it wont work casue it power 2 voice coils on the same sub OR it wont work well as a sub amp. i would asume it first one. i mena i would obviouslyu set the gains up with a DMM so that they are equal. i wish Us amps would have better 2ohm rattings and i wish the RE SEs came in dual 2

I have done it, wattage is wattage, doesnt matter one channel or 2, the only thin is getting your gains set exacly the same for each pair of bridged channels, thats why alot of people dont recomend it. You cant find a 2ch that will bridge down to 2ohms?

Jay, the only way to be sure is to use a scope on it and look for distortion in the output.

well i think im gonna go ahead and spin this up. US amps say it can be used as a 2ch, using Y adapters. ill set my gains with my multi meter, i dubt ill touch the bass EQ, and the LPF im sure if its a hz or two off it wont matter. also both alpine and eclipse show in there sub install manuals using 2amps on 1 sub. 1 amp per coil. this to me is the same thing!
