4000 watt amp and 2 12' subs

04 Hyundai tiburon

I have this set up but when I fire em up they take power and make the headlights and all that dim pretty well.

How could I fix this? Just a capacitor? If so, how strong of a capacitor?

If I played it decently high but not to the point of dimming headlights, would it **** up my alternator or anything?

To fix dimming lights you need more alternator. To keep your amp from frying... you need more alternator... or more or better batteries.

And yes... you can fuck up your stock alt beating it up that way.

Up for grabs is a Gravity Warzone 4000.1 mono amp. This is a solid low budget sub amp that does a solid 1000 or so watts at 1 ohm, maybe a bit...

Have you tried connecting the amp to a car battery? No subs, just power. If it protects, amp is bad. If no protect, subs/wiring or ATX power...

He wants to strap the amps to double the output to one sub. Some amps allow you to "couple" them. This allows you to wire up the one sub powered...

You can wire those subs up @8 ohms if they are both SVC4 ohm subs, and that amp will run fine after being tuned properly...
