8ga is good

If u plan on upgrading just get it overwith and get another gauge...

8 is fine... but like rev said, if you plan to upgrade go ahead and buy bigger. I would probably go with 4 gauge as the price difference isn't to much of a difference... but again 8 is fine.

this is just for a set of components, not for subs so i doubt ill really need to upgrade

Well, the 8ga is good...

I always do at least 4ga no matter what, thats me though...
