4 twelves or 2 fifteens witch is better?

i am going to re-do the system in my car (jeep cherokee) and im not sure if im going to go with 2 fifteen inch L7's solobarics or 4 twelves of some sort? any input please on better thump better sound quaility. any suggestions.

You do realize you won't have any trunk space left if you do the 2 15"s properly. You need at LEAST 5-6 cubes.

EDIT: and 4 12's of something like L7's = 10-12 cubes, MINIMUM.

it all depends. when i do peoples installs i tell them 4 12's will get louder but 2 15's get lower and 4 12's is more pricey.

i had 2 15's last summer but i am switching to 4 12's next summer for the spl part of it.

are you retarded? 2 15's will not get "lower" than 4 12's. it all depends on the box and subs. with the proper power and box 4 12's will be louder.

If you're talking about the same sub, 4 12's or 2 15's... the 4 12's have more displacement capability.

I prefer 2 15" and a big sub box! If you buy 4 12" is going to be very big sub box..you don't have that space in your trunk..

More displacement potential, more motors to absorb the power (and fight power compression, fatigue, etc)... other than price, the four 12's have the two 15's beat by a long shot.

12" L7 Freq response: 20-100hz

Not that much of a difference, imo. Nobody really listens to that low of a frequency anyways.
