4 RD Sonance 12" SEALED vs. RD 5750.1

Wel, I figured I would start a "semi-build" thread since I've never done one before. I'm going with 4 RD Sonance 12" in a 5.9 ft.^2 sealed box (1.35 net for each sub). They will firing up in the trunk and I'll be throwing about 800 watts to each one of them. Hopefully it will be louder than the Alpha 10s." Everything is ready to go, and all I have to do is wire them up, put them in the box, and get a friend to help me put this box in. More updates to follow.

No, I don't like building it like that. I prefer all the subs to have the same "source." I figure it creates an equality for each of them amongst the air space.

I've always liked the way sealed boxes perform. I wanted this to be a true SQL setup. It fits better with most music I listen to.

You need a shit load of cone area to get really loud sealed, so that was my philosophy on this one. Get as many subs in the trunk as I feasibly can and throw as much power as I got at 'em.

I may wire them down to .5 to see what they do at 4200-4400 or so, but I don't think it's going to be safe with my electrical.

We're going to try.

I'm supposed to call Steve a little later to really set it to perfection. I've got a Fluke DMM and RMS clamp meter on hand this time, so he's going to walk me through the steps to figure impedance rise and set it at a true 3200-4200 watts. Whatever works "best."

v2 sonances.. by far some of my favorite subs.. would like a few 18s or 15s to be here but.. no monies.. ugh. Let me know how it turns out for ya.
