4 ohms, 1,000+

hmm..off the top of my head I can't think of many that go over 1000 at 4ohms. JL 1000/1 can do 1000 @ 4ohms. Jbl crown 1100.1 will do a little over 1000 @ 4ohms(I have seen birthsheets of it doing 1300.) The zapco 2500 can be bridged to do a little over 1k @ 4ohms.

I just don't know of any that do 1500 @ 4ohms. I hope that helps your search.

Yea... your best bet is going to be finding a 2 channel amp and bridging the channels.... I got a Kicker IX2302 (impulse series) off ebay a few months ago for 120 shipped and that is 900 watts at 4 ohms bridged.....

No. The load doesn't mean less draw. Example:

1000 watts @ 4 ohms and 14.4volts, Class AB amp, 60% efficiency = 97.1 amps

1000 watts @ 4 ohms and 14.4volts, Class D amp, 90% efficiency = 76.34 amps

1000 watts @ 1 ohms and 14.4volts, Class AB amp, 60% efficiency = 97.1 amps

1000 watts @ 1 ohms and 14.4volts, Class D amp, 90% efficiency = 76.34 amps

Ohms law.... Voltage x Current = Power in Watts 1000 watts is 1000 watts, no matter the ohms, (or impedance of the load) The class of operation or more specifically, the efficiency of the amplifier will dictate the current draw.

That is why people are telling you you will need a Class AB bridged and that you better have a beefy electrical system.

Are all class d amps around the same efficiency or what should for in an amp to get the most efficiency?

Couple ARC amps on ebay.

ARC 1500DR if I remeber right I think its 900 @ 4ohm.

ARC AUDIO 2500XXK 2-Channel Amplifier 1100W @ 4 ohm bridged but its about 75.00 over your price range. Great Amps though.

You might find some in the classifieds. Look for mabey a PG, Zapco, PPI, US Amps, HiFonics just to name a couple. But like someeone said if you get a class A/B you need the electrical usually.

Well i wanted to run an amp at 4ohms because isnt there less amperage drawn, or its less strain on my electrical system?
it will put less strain on your elecrical system if your amp runs at a higher impedance than its lowest rating for example a class d at 1 ohm will pull more than the same class d at 4 ohms usually.
