I'm kind of suprised but this guy sounds like he has outrageous amount of cash and wants some sick bass....surprised no one said anything about Digital Designs 9917's! You want something that'll hit extremley hard, then takes this up.

Still curious....what do you do for a living?

ssx will still take the cake.

the w7 isnt even in the same league as the ssx. the w7 has no chance.

As far as output is concered I will agree. The ssx can easily outdue a w7 in output, but sq may be another thing . They both are good woofers though.

you may as well just go w/ w7s since you previously had them and are happy with them.

if they are put in the right box with a good amount of power, they sound great, but it gets to a point where your ears cant really tell the difference in SQ after so much noise is being produced. i have heard some that sound better than W7's. the boat that i know of that has two ssx 12"s and two 9.0s sounds better than the same boat with two 13W7's and two 1000/1s.

powerwise yea, they have more output, but the c2k series is a great amp. they are super clean power and are as dependable as anything else out there.

distortion yea, but SQ is compared on levels that dont include distortion. and by the way, a lot of boats sound better than cars. and when comparing two speakers in the same enviroment. if you want to see how much of a monster a speaker is, stick them in a boat. boats are much more harsh on equipment.

i heard a truck with four 13W7's in it, then my guy did one with two ssx 15" and i guess that the W7s just had no comparison.
