2.85 after sub and port displacement tuned to 34hz is about the best I could do.
With it being 12.5 inches high, that means the entire enclosure will be 14" when you add in the top and bottom being 1.5 inches total. You said 14" was a max dimension.Will cutting that to 12.5"s high be suitable? what if you go 13 would it be any better?

In all reality, you will not notice a difference in sound between 2.85 and 3 cubic feet even though you think you might.
