4 identical speakers

So I finally decided I need to get rid of my 4in speakers up front. I was thinking about mounting two 6 by 9 boxes on the speaker panels on the front doors. Now aside from looking bad It should still sound fine right. The speakers are JL Audio's TR690-CXi 6"x9 3 way.

I'm slowly learning more about car audio, but I want to run two wires from each terminal to a speaker on my 4ch to bump up from 40 watts a piece to 50. As of now the 4in are obviously holding me back.
