4 HDC3 VS 2 HDC3 with more powaaa?

Ok so my buddy is setting up his next system. It will be going in a s-10 extended cab or a full size ext cab truck. Amps will either be my crossfire vr4000d or 2 AQ 2200's strapped. We are trying to decide between like 4 12's on about 1200 watts a piece or like 2 15's or 18's on like 2000-2400 a piece. We are aiming for 150 here, but he is still worried about having some sq being in a truck. What do you guys think would be the best option. Proper electrical will be used too so no worries there

well I've heard they sound good daily on around 1000. I know they are rated at 1000 but that means nothing, and thats what I have been telling him.

anyone have any experience with the hdc3 on around 1000 watts

2 18s will have more cone area than the 4 12s and will be getting close to what they want in power, plus it will be cheaper.......

therefore my vote goes to 2 18s

ok so now that what I thought was right.....should you go 15's or 18's? He still wants some sq here, and mainly listens to rap/ r&b.

...otherwise what do you think some better options are off 4000 ish watts, maybe 4 sd2's over 2 hdc3's.....don't want btls or dd as I think I can get the same for cheaper from AQ....will listen to opinions tho, thanks guys

Well this is going to be a daily driver on music...4000 on 1 sub for daily will not last long, there is a thread a bit back stating this

says who?? i have has 3400-4k watts on my 9515G everyday for 8months and it never gets hot and plays loud as balls.. i even took 1st in car class at a comp in the 0-24in catagory and came in 2nd overall to my bestfriend with 6 12s in a wall.. mine takes 4k like a champ!! nad hits a sexy 145.8db
