A better way to handle this is to get an amplifier that's small enough to fit under one of your seats. Putting it on the box isn't good for reliability because of the extra vibrations. I wouldn't be able to help you with that for $100, but I have some small 4-channel amplifiers that are new and very efficient. My smallest good amp is the Massive Audio BX4, and a bit larger and more powerful option is the Precision Power P900.4.
