the newer alpines are decent but very spendy, d class midrange ampos kinda weird but.....

i love my old xtant a4004. i've had a little ground loop trouble, but it is way underrated and delivers any kind of power i'd ever need. it states 50 watts x 4 @ 4 ohms, but it murders my alpine type R components at about 1/3 gain. i'm probably going to run some bi-ampable components with it in the near future.

edit: whoops. it's not really that small.

i used to like my old orion xtreme 400 amp but its hard to trust these newer amp lines

Nice amp... but that is NOT a "small" amp by any means.

Good choice there c3. I use the th4120 myself for over five years now running the front stage at 2 ohms and the rear at 4 ohms, no failures no problem except the wifey keeps telling me to turn it down!!!!!
