4 AA Assassin 8"s or 2 AA Assassin 12"s?

Hmm, I'll wait and see tomorrow exactly how much space I have before trying that then. I think it'd be much easier to just do a regular square vented box.

I was actually thinking Up, because if I do it towards the seats or the back door, I don't know exactly how much space they'd have for excursion and it'd be much more space facing up. As for the port, what would you reccomend? Same direction as the subs (up) or on the sides?

Is there a disadvantage to having them facing up?

Cool, thanks dude //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I'll post again tomorrow if that'll fit good enough or not, but I gotta get to sleep now. Test tomorrow >_>

Have you guys heard any Kappa Perfect 12.1s? They're $180 for a pair at Crutchfield and have free shipping, so they'd actually be cheaper than the Assassins. Same RMS (350w) and seem like they'd fit just fine in the same box you suggested (though it could possibly be slightly smaller since these say 1.75ft^3 ported //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif ).

Kappa Perfect 12.1s

EDIT:

And according to Crutchfield, these have a sensitivity of 96dB, isn't that pretty freaking high (meaning the subs would be using more of the 350w than the Assassins would?)

the sensitivity rating is rated using different power or something like that. Theyre real rating is around high 80's i think. Someone probably knows the formula, i dont though.
Oh, didn't know that. But even so, how well do these subs compare?

Oh snap, I just though of something. What about a single 15" Arsenal or Fi Q? The Q would be able to take just about anything my current amp would put out at 1ohm, right? It'd cost me $100 more, but I think it'd be worth it, no? And it seems that same box would still work (rec is 2.8-4ft^3 @ 28-33hz). Any input?

Cool, that'll be my plan for now then, gotta get saving that extra $$$ though >_

And do you think my BXi 1206D will be enough for one 15" Q or should I sell it with my 8"s and just get something a little bigger? I'd prefer to keep it, but I'd like to get this Q at "maximum" potential, since I'm spending the extra cash anyway. No point in skimping out here, I reckon.
