I just got done installing 4 new re 8's in a 2.0 cf 35hz box. one of the subs is working harder than the other three. i used rockford wiring and wired them to 2ohms total load (each driver is dual 4) i dont get why this is happening. this one sub clips and the rest are fine. is it a bad sub? or did i wire something incorrectly?

Swap the wiring around from the issue sub to another and see if the issue follows the sub or the wire run. Maybe you have a short or issue with the wiring. Also might try changing location of the sub if its near a port opening and maybe unloading, I've had that happen before.

the sub is actually more away from the port then the other 2. i guess ill go out and buy a dmm and check the coils then ill try the wiring if the coil is alright =) thanks

i bought a dmm and set the resistance to 200 and each coil is reading 3ohms i believe. it jumps around a little bit but not much. its dark out now so i cant do much more but i was thinking of rewiring it. soldering the connections right to the sub instead of using connectors =/

anyone else got any idea?
