has anyone tried the the 4.5" vifa pl line midranges? I am thinking of going to a 3 way set up and using these mids to go with my scan speak tweeters and vifa xt midbasses.
i've had a set of those, the 5.25 pl's, and 5.25 vifa p13's. all the pl series drivers i have had had a very mellow, somewhat dark midrange. that is not a bad thing....they are very pleasing sounding drivers. i really liked all the pl stuff i have had. in my vehicle, the smaller pl's had a midrange that is very comparible, if not indestinguishable, to the scan rev's. the p13's are pretty nice too, but i would go with the pl's for the better construction. they will most likely handle power a little better.

I really wanted to use the scan speak 4.5 mid in th rev series but there 225 dollars from parts express. but I think I am going to use these pl's instead the price is a lot nicer and they handel more power
