Im just double checking my work. I used http://psp-inc.com 's calculator.

the pictures include everything needed about the box.

I had to estimate an L712's driver displacement because i couldn't find it on the net or in the manual.

also i was wondering about the airflow. I've never really built a box like this so im unsure of how the aero port will work and how the box being shaped like that would effect the sound.

anyone's advice is greatly appreciated..

id tune to like 33 or lower. my kickers sounded crappy tuned that high.

yea, tuned lower would probably be better for music

Other than it's going to be a hard box to

build, the shape looks fine to me. More

port area, maybe two 4" ports would be

better IMO. You are not choking off the port

internally from what I can see. Good luck

with all the angle piece.

i actually thought about 2 4 inches but then i did the math

r squared * pie

diam= 4 radius =2

(2)(2)*pie=12.56

multiply that by 2 since there is 2 ports 25.12

vs.

diam= 9 radius =3

(3)(3)*pie = 28.27

i still can't believe it

2 4ichers whould be less then 1 6incher, but i dont thing thats enough for 2 12" L7s. i think u need to get closer to 40 or so sq in of port area.

i would say im more of an SPL fan opposed to SQ but i thought about going to 33hz..still not much of a noticable difference.

i had 2 type r's in a 3cubic foot box tuned at 36hz.. really loved it, but ive never had the kickers....

i had my l5's in a box 5.0ctft@ 32 was pretty loud didnt mic it not very good highs at all. then built a box 5.4@38 and it did 142.4 on jezzy put on with a zx1000.1. i know differant subs but kicker still i think 36 should sound perfcet im actually makiing another box tuned to around 35 36ish.

u have to cut the ports and make them the right length

and each sub displacement is i recall .08 for each sub and i am running two 12's l7's with one 6" port in a box around 5.2net tuned to 33hz and it gets loud but yea try to do 2 6" aeros it will get louder

well if u cant wedge another one in, i think u may have to re-think this. what about 3 4" ers, that would be about 36-37 sq in, but how long and can they fit

i mean is that site the only site you can buy the port from, because it seems real low budget.
