Of these 4 Channel Amps which one will give me the greatest build and quality of sound. They will be pushing 2 sets of Cadence cvl-5k's. If i get a 4 channel I will need another amp in the future to power a sub.

Cadence ZR5-C9

Cadence iA4

CDT SQA 4075

PPI PC400.4

JL 4300

Orion XTR2504

Soundstream Ref 4.400

Or, I can get a 5 channel and no need for another amp. Of these, which will give me great sound for many years. I plan on using a 10" sub in future.

Soundstream RUB5.800

PowerBass ASA1100.5

Alphasonik PMZ12005a

PPI 5580.5

MB Quart ONX4.80/500

Keep in mind I listen to music like Steely Dan and rarly loud.

Thanks for any help.

I was giving you an Idea of what is out there and where to look for bargains..It is just going to be hard for me to stand behind my judgement of any of the amps you listed as far as build quality...they are all good amps (Of all you mentioned, the SS and Quart would be the ones I question build quality and product longevity). I like the PPI PC Class, the Cadence amps, the Alpha, Orion...Of those, I would take the PPI PC Class 4ch.

This, I can personally vouch for:

AQ 120.4

I have ran the big brethren to this for a few years and loved it...not a single issue.

This one has very good specs and is a powerhouse with plenty of dynamic headroom too:

Concerto Series C1100.4

Another beast:

Incriminator Audio 6.4 4-channel amplifier100Wx4

Another Beast:

SSA Store - Stetsom Venom 600.4 @ 2ohms amplifier

Quackhead, the first amp you mentioned, the AQ 120.4 looks very stout. The numbers are good but pretty much the same as the PPI, Cadence, Diamond Audio and others I mentioned. Also, they are all about the same price. What makes the AQ better?

At the moment I am kinda leaning to the Cadence ZR-59 and some Cadence Componants or the Diamond Audio D600.4.

@dthor68

...it really make you miss the days when you knew what you could buy and how far you had to drive to get it. It was nice when we knew the go-to stuff was either made in Tempe Az, Cali, Florida, or Stillwater, Ok. I remember wanting one of those red 100 watt amps that would do closer to 800 watts at 1 ohm bridged mono...

The only thing that bothers me about the Cadence is the price. Seems hard to trust a $200.00 amp, now its $150.00 at AudioSavings. It does look good with the big heat sink.
