Ok, next setup is 4 havoc 15's, problem is I only have 57.5" of width available in the back of my truck and I want to fire them up so I have to get creative with the baffle. These will be sealed btw.

Which option would be best from the two designs below, or any other totally different ideas?

Option 1:

Option 2:

Option 3: ???

Invert option 2
Another option to draw up and think about //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

do an angled box. like a large truck wedge. it'll give you extra area to stagger the subs on the same plane. clear?
Trying to wrap my head around that one. Not sure what you mean, besides making the baffle (firing up) say 58.5 long by say 24 deep so the subs can be staggered front to back on the baffle to fit?

I'm shit for visualizing things //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

knew i was not clear. if you do an angle one of the panels, it'll give you more surface area. maybe just make the top the baffle and angle it to the front or rear a little. the extra surface area will allow you "stagger" the subs. hold on. i'll do a drawing.

Actually I think I got that, and that is indeed something I can do. I can go 58.5 wide and roughly 23.5" deep...if I angled that top baffle forward or back I could gain enough surface area to make it happen.

Now the question on that one...angle it forward or backward?

Yup, those pics were what I was thinking. I know that my two se15's firing back got louder to the ear than any other direction. Unfortunately I can't fire these straight back and still have room for batteries and amps.

Angled back is an option though, going to have to see what I can draw up for that...good idea I hadn't thought about.

i think that if you do 1 1/2 the size of the sub, you should be able to squeeze them in. so maybe a 24 inch wide baffle would fit 4 15's, and keep the box length under 54 inches wide. it might be a good idea to lay the subs, or some 15 inch circles on the floor, and see how wide you have to go to squeeze them in. you may have to do a very slight angle.

Thats what forced me to actually start using sketchup. Its nice to draw out 4 15.625" circles and see what size baffles they will and will not fit in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Man I need to learn how to use scetchup!~

So your going sealed? What's the net airspace the Havocs like to be in?

Sketchup isn't hard to use once you get the hang of it. Search "sketchup tutorial" here and there are two good ones that got me started.

Goin sealed again, dug my last sealed setup with the se15's. Ascendant calls for 1.5 to 3 cubes sealed. I'm going to do 2.5 each and if I want to bring the volume down I can always start adding wood to the inside of the box.

Was given another idea...time to go measure in a bit and see if I can do two back and two up.

Did you buy the AA's already?

SDC2.5's may do well like that.

only give them the full 4k at comps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
