thanks, you kinda just proved my pointno one really uses 3 or 6 10s thats just pointless

how is that possible? why can't you assume that?

Quit sayin voltage please, you mean watts or power, power is not equal to voltage. if it is agreed that at 500watts the 13 > than 2 10's at 800 due to the excursion level then it must be true that at every single amount of voltage applied to the driver(s)... will result in the 13 > than the 10's because excursion is directly proportional to the voltage.

i'm not going postal, but when i said voltage i ment it.. excursion isn't directly proportional to watts, its voltage... when you are talking about watts.. about 1/4th the wattage would give you half the excursion... and 1/16th the max watage would give you 1/4 excursion... but it equals out to be the same concept proportionally, its just easier to explain with volts, but for you i'll do an example in watts...Quit sayin voltage please, you mean watts or power, power is not equal to voltage. My engineering education wants to kill you
P.S. before ya go postal its sarcasm
what do you think the xmax is forMy point is how do you know that at 500 watts the 13" driver will have the excursion capable of overcoming the surface area differences? You don't.
And your physics is a bit rusty, you might want to read up on it a some more.
what do you think the xmax is for![]()
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif are you kidding?just cause the sub is rated at 500 watts doesnt mean the sub reaches it's xmax at 500 watts or else you'd be gaining nothing with the people who run 1000 watts to the sub so your guessing on the watts,
And with the voltage, your wrong voltage stays same you never mess with voltage in car audio, you mess with amp draw, you never cut the "volts" by half
why are you even asking if you "seem" to know the dam answer? you have 10's and some a 13". why dont you test it out? who in the hell installed your stuff.hmmm lots of veiwers but no one has anything to say? so let me ask again what is going to be louder? 1 13 or 2 10's?
ok so you are saying that if your car puts out 14.4 v then your amp always puts out 14.4 volts?Dude you were talking about power to subs, all the volts for headunits and amps are to match so HU output volt = amp input volts, those are just for adjustment so you get clean signal. You were talking in relation to sub output which would be volts from bat and that essentially doesnt change you dont ever cut that volt in half.
You'll really make any huge mental leap to try and prove your point. But throwing out a bunch of fancy numbers or talking isn't going to impress or prove anyone.
