4 12 in. R types

ok I am going to be buying 4 12 inch R types next month and I was woundering if It would be a good idea to run 2 memphis 16st100d amps running two (4ohm 4ohm) Type R's would that be too much power or should I go with somthin else thanks

well i'm gonna go get 4 type R's today and i'm gonna power them with 2 jbl 1200.1. i have heard that these subs can take alot of power....1000 watt max but i donno if this is n e help but good luck....peace
