4/0 Awg *****es!

**** that is some big *** wire! heres a question (dont mean to thread jack) but i have some welding cable that is 1/0 but it has like 20 BIG strands in it... like freakin huge its not flexible at all and i was kinda wondering with so few large strands will that conduct less power? i mean like if i had 1/0 with 4000+ strands compared to this stuff i got for free with 20 strands does it make a difference other than flexibility?

So, I'm going to buy one of those fuse holders and a 400A Ceramic fuse, will there be problems seeing as this wire is rated for 550A?
not unless u have a magic alternator that could produce that much power to begin with, i dont think so, of course i could be wrong

Batteries can produce a lot more than that so he still needs to fuse it, and 400A should be fine.

I found a place a while back that had up to 700A ANL fuses but I can't remember what site it was. I do remember that it was a boating/marine site. I'm sure if you search enough (20 minor so) you will be able to come up with a bigger fuse if you want one.

You could pick up a sweet Hooker Audio fuse/distro block...
It has ring terminal inputs... and then 1/0 and 4awg outputs.

Checking it out now...

Cool, I'll look into it, but Im pretty sure the 400 will be enough like you said.

The bad news is this wire does not fit in the terminals on my amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif guess I'll just trim some strands off...
