So i got my gti the other day and wanted to do a 3way up front and a sub in the back. I need help with a 3 way system up front. The car came with a 6.5, 4, and 1" tweeter and thats not cutting it for me. I would like input and any opinions would be great. I really want this to be a SQ car.

Well, I had a shop owner try to sell me MMATS Pro 641 for $600.00 AFTER I told him that I was interested in the MUCH more expensive Morel Elates ($1,500.00) that he also sells. (How often does THAT happen?) His words were "they should charge twice as much for these things".

I have never heard them and likely never will becasue MMATS is most active in the Southeast and very rare out here on the left coast.

Here is a link to an online retailer that sells them under $500.00: http://tinyurl.com/ewjas

And here is a link to the manufacturer's web site:

I went to the dealer locator on there and was so screwed up in Firefox (their web site kinda sux) so I took the liberty of copying/pasting the dealer info for Virginia to clean it up...

I've never heard the Mmats components. I have used their amps for years with great results - but I have always gone with more mainstream speakers. I've heard good things about Mmats subs.

These are my stock locations and what i have to work with, I really want to keep the speakers in the same location. Can anyone help me out?

What about the imaging factor? The 6.5 is placed right next to my hip, i think the 4" and the tweeter are in good locations.
If you want to worry alot about imaging, then stock locations may not always be best. I think that rainbow set will be a great drop-in-plug-and-play set. It will probably sound pretty good, not a competition setup, but very good for daily driving.
