i have a lexus with integrated nav. ive always used an mtx req5 loc/processor, but now im thinking about upgrading to the 3sixty.3, but for about the same price i can convert to double din.

what you guys think would be better. i cant quite make up my mind

If you don't care for the stock look go for it,you can always get a HU with nav
i do like the stock look better than the look of a double din (at least the way they lookin my car, from what ive seen) but i think im trying to achieve better sound at this point. idk if getting sound from stock stereo/amp is cutting it anymore.

and yes i'd definitely get a double din with nav. it would cost about the same to convert or if i buy the 3sixty.3. which is why im stuck between the two.

Depends on what you want out of your system. I would go with the RF if you're going with a crazy SQ setup, 3way fronts and the works.
as mentioned above- im looking for good sound. all these years ive ownedthe mtx req5, and just taking the signal from the stock amp, ive felt like i could be getting more/better sound if i had a head unit. which is why now im not so sure if the 3sixty.3 would compare in sq/output as a headunit, since with the 3sixty id be doing essentially the same thing as im doing now- getting my signals from stock radio

as for speaker set up, im trying to keep that more simple- 2 way Hybrid Audio Clarus set, is what im currently looking for. id love to have a three way, but ive heard its extremely hard to get a 3 way set up to sound right. and that often people end up setting up their three way no better than if they wouldve just done a 2 way.

with the RF you do get time alignment, I don't know how much you value that feature
never have used time alignment

the RF unit will provide fantastic possibilities for improving your soundstage and overall quality, especially if you're good at tuning.
thats true. but will the ouptut of the 3sixty.3 provide similar or better sound quality output than a head unit? i know 3sixty provides more tweaking, but i want to make sure the output i send to my amps is really good.

That is the perfect spot to do that. OEM sub may interfere with the new one and cause cancellation.
