3G iPhone?

yes this will extend your contract

200 for 8gig

300 for 16gig

16gig available in white or black!

There will be no subsidized cost as thought b4. the 199 and 299 are the only actual prices. you have to get a 2 yr contract to get an iphone now. They have lost my business like i stated earlier.

ninja edit!!

why has this made them lose your business? there was no subsidized price before...

because att wants 750 deposit for me. iwas able to get service through suncom with only a 199 deposit. I unlocked my iphone and used it on suncoms network which still uses att towers, and suncom will be t-mobile soon. so now i cant buy and iphone!!!! also i know there was no subsidized cost but alot of people thought that it was. they thought the 199 and 299 was with a new contract but they would make you pay full prices ie 399 and 499 if you wanted to just buy the phone outright!

The iphone is a waste of money in my opinion. You can get the new version of the 8525 ( The AT&T Tilt) new for half the price of the iphone and it does pretty much everything you need. And it uses a Sim card as well. I would just go with the Tilt but that's just me

i used to think along these same lines, and i went with the blackberry curve about a year ago.

i will be replacing it with the new iphone next month, the iphone is a powerful tool and does much more than any other PDA phone on the market, hands down...

i never stated that the new iphone was going to be 399 and 499. i know what the prices are. Im just saying this if you dont wanna go through att to get an iphone then you have 2 options either dont get one or pay a higher price through some 3rd party seller(eghey).

I know quite a bit about the iphone as well( i unlock them actually). but with the new rules i dont think im gonna buy.

i loved my blackberry pearl but im not using my personal phone as a business device..i would much rather be able to watch youtube and view full web pages ona 3.5 inch screen than keeping the blackberry on a smaller screen no matter how much i enjoyed the thing..

read and weep guys. there will be NO MORE ONLINE SALES OF IPHONES THROUGH APPLE!!!!!

No More Online iPhone Sales | 3g Data Prices

According to dallasnews.com there will be a new requirement for buying the 3g iPhone. You must buy it in person and activate it in the store.

Direct quote from AT&T spokesperson

Quote:

When customers purchase their new 3G iPhone, customers will activate the device in the retail store. This is the traditional wireless activation model that our customers are very familiar with. In-store activation should take just a few minutes and customers will be able to leave with their iPhone up and running. This will be especially helpful if any questions or issues arise during activation.

That fluff about helping people with questions is probably just the polite way of saying "We want the iPhones activated on our chosen carriers in front of us. We hope to kill unlocking. Muwahahahaha."

Pricing for the 3g iPhone was also announced:

* With a two-year contract, the price of an 8GB iPhone 3G will be $199; the 16GB model will be priced at $299.

* Unlimited iPhone 3G data plans for consumers will be available for $30 a month, in addition to voice plans starting at $39.99 a month.

* Unlimited 3G data plans for business users will be available for $45 a month, in addition to a voice plan.
